By the same token, there is no why some “leader” should be able to pledge our votes in ad When fcsuch a “leader” is asked how many votes he can control is equivalent to asking him how many will follow his leadership without thinking. We are enlightened now and able to consider the merits of each for ourselves. For this reason it is imperative, in this our crisis, that we go as individuals to the polls and cast our ballot. There is smal lreason why anyone, no matter how much ssmarter ourselves, should be able to say to any candidate IN ^ D\ AN( K how this vote will be cast. A vote is worth more than money. It should not be for sale. The process is thwarted if a man with a handfulf of crisp new can buy such a mighty instrument at the polls. If a candidate offers more of lasting good for us he will, under system herein suggested, get our votes. He will need to convince voter NOT the leader. That is a? it should be. Under any other system we will not vote. WE WILL BE VOTED. COLLEGE SPONSORS STATE Admitted for treatment of a compound fracture of the left leg was John Stephens, 39- colored, of 314 N.
